✨ SOMETIMES WE DON’T MISS THE PERSON. WE MISS HOW WE FELT WITH THEM. ✨

One of the most profound realizations on the healing journey is this:
Sometimes the person we miss is not the person who was actually there.
We miss the feeling.
The feeling of being seen.
The feeling of being chosen.
The feeling of being desired.
The feeling of hope.
The feeling that perhaps this time, everything would be different.
And that is why letting go can feel so difficult.
Because we are not only grieving a person.
We are grieving a version of ourselves that came alive in their presence.
The dreams we created.
The future we imagined.
The love we hoped would grow.
But healing begins when we gently ask ourselves:
What am I truly longing for?
Is it the person?
Or is it the love, connection, safety, and belonging I experienced - or hoped to experience - with them?
Because the moment we recognize the difference, something begins to shift.
We stop chasing someone else for what we believe they took away.
And we begin returning home to ourselves.
To the love that has always lived within us.
